Rio Salado student Gissele is forever grateful for the scholarships she’s received to continue her education with less stress on her shoulders. She said, “receiving a scholarship is something that I would have never thought possible and this moment will stay with me for the rest of my life. Not only does this help financially, but it proves that there are people in this country that believe in the next generation of the future.”
Gissele works in a pediatric practice as a dental assistant. She completed her program at Rio Salado and has obtained her X-ray certification as well. “My journey has not been easy nor fast,” she said. “From being an appointment scheduler to becoming a receptionist to finally being an assistant took quite some time and energy. My job is absolutely amazing but I know I have the potential to do so much more and make a name for myself in my field.”
Appreciative of the awards she’s received from scholarships, Gissele commented, “I promise to do good with the investment for my studies and thank you to those supporting me in continuing my journey of becoming a dental hygienist.”
