“I am forever grateful and appreciative of the donors for believing in my academic dreams to become a RN under the direction of the CEP MSN GCU/MCC program. I am writing to all who took part in my application review and want to express my thankfulness.
I have wanted to be in the healthcare field since the age of 5. With time and more exposure to healthcare through surgeries and being seen by orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, anesthesiologists, nurses, and physical therapists from my teen years to 23 years old, only confirmed this is the career path I want to take. Each role in healthcare plays a large part in the level of patient care and safety. I want to be good in healthcare and support people from minimal to severe health concerns/disease processes. I currently work 2 jobs: in an emergency department, and as an all star club cheer coach just to pay for schooling which sometimes takes a strain on my full time academic schedule. With this scholarship I can cut back some work hours to focus heavily on my schooling and not be as concerned about how I will be able to financially pay for tuition to stay enrolled. I was not only shocked to read I was a chosen recipient of the emergency assistance but it also motivated me more to work hard and make this amazing reward worth it by excelling in school and getting one step to my RN licensure and hopefully a CRNA in the future. Again, I thank you and genuinely want to do no less than my best effort to make this wonderful foundation proud in my endeavors!”
