As a low-income student, money has always been an issue and as a current junior in high school, affording college has always been in the back of my mind. I am one of the very few members of my family that have been allowed to attend college and I strive to make my parents proud. They immigrated from Mexico to build a better life for me, so I am working hard to make all of their dedication and sacrifices worth the hardships they endured. Something that I am currently considering is majoring in cybersecurity because the idea of being able to understand a concept so foreign to me is extremely fascinating.
