Phoenix College student Ameena, is extremely thankful for her scholarship. She said, “It greatly assists me in my purpose of higher education as the money I save will go towards my goals for forensics science, to attend a university.” She continued, “scholarships can also mean more time for studying and learning, which can lead to better grades and retention of knowledge.”
Ameena’s goal is to major in forensic science or to become a professional basketball player. Since a young age, she’s always wanted to be able to do anything that involved a crime scene, and always wanted to play professional basketball. She said, “I was going to work to be able to pay for my schooling, but juggling work and school is very hard. My coach always told me to never give up. No matter what, I know as long as I strive for my goals they will happen.”
