Scholarships help Mesa Community College (MCC) student Anthony pursue his education and career path. He said, “I’m a self supporting student who couldn’t afford to go straight into a four-year college, so I sought out MCC to help set me up for Arizona State University.” He continued, “because I’m self-sufficient, I live on my own and work full time. Therefore, scholarships reduce my financial burden and also ensure I get the necessary supplies and resources for the coming semester and enable me to focus and keep my education my priority.”
Anthony is majoring in history and will be pursuing a career as a high school teacher. He is a firm believer in educating the next generation and making sure all have equal access to it, especially for minorities like him. “I thank donors for their helpful contributions and believing that someone like me can make a difference, and I promise to give the same opportunity to someone else in the future,” he said.
