“I want to thank you for your generosity and kindness. This award will significantly help me while completing my third block of nursing school at Estrella Mountain Community College. There are many expenses for this type of schooling, and I will have less to worry about thanks to the donors.
This fall, I will be starting the third semester of the program. This semester, we will be focusing on medical/surgical nursing and OB nursing. There is a lot to learn, and I know that I will have little time outside of studying, so this money for school is greatly appreciated so that I can put all of my focus into my school work. Once I graduate nursing school in May of 2024, I hope to get a job in an intensive care unit. I would like to work in an ICU for a few years before I apply to CRNA school. A CRNA is a certified registered nurse anesthetist. The schooling takes about three years to complete, but I am looking forward to my nursing journey.
At EMCC, I have been a part of the Student Nurses Association club for a couple of years now. Last semester, I was president of the club, and I was vice president during my first semester of the nursing program. I started going to SNA meetings before I was in the nursing program so I could build good relationships with professors, directors, and other students. The club has been a large part of my journey so far.
I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to receive this award, and I hope to one day pay it forward by giving the best care I can provide as a nurse and one day a CRNA. I am committed to graduating from nursing school and furthering my education after that. Thank you again for all of your help.”
