“The planet needs all the help it can get and I will be a part of the change that it desperately needs,” said Isabella, a Mesa Community College student studying Sustainability and Environmental Studies.
Ever since she was a little girl, nature has been really important to Isabella, and she grew up eager to protect all plants and animals. “Every day I make efforts in my life to help the environment – such as picking up trash, cutting down my water and power use, recycling, and more,” she commented. “I am very passionate about the environment and protecting the planet we live on so that future generations will have a beautiful place to live.” Isabella feels that the world needs all of humanity to join together to make a true difference and cannot wait to be a part of it.
Upon graduation, Isabella is excited for the many avenues she can take and is interested in being a part of ocean conservation and helping re-grow the coral reefs. She plans to be really involved in the community and helping the local ecosystems and her scholarship is a jumpstart to her plans, by allowing her to focus on her education.
