My name is Vanessa and I was chosen to receive the Linda B. Rosenthal Scholarship for the 2025-26 school year. I want to thank you for helping to make this scholarship possible.
I am from Phoenix, Arizona. My husband and I have been married for 10 years, and we have 3 wonderful children. I am currently in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at GateWay Community College. This coming spring will be my final semester. I am very much looking forward to graduation. I am doing my clinical rotation at a very busy hospital and enjoy it very much. I hope to gain employment somewhere similar over the summer. While I am in this program full-time, I am also working on the Bachelor’s Program at Northern Arizona University. I hope to complete that program by Summer of 2027.
This scholarship helps me and my family by reducing the burden of educational expenses. This allows me to focus on my class work and clinicals without the weight of balancing a job. With fewer financial concerns, I can dedicate more time to studying, practicing scanning techniques, and taking advantage of every learning opportunity during clinical rotations. This scholarship brings me closer to my hope of building a career in medical imaging.
